Looking for a Photographer Friend in Bangkok? Meet Mike, Ian and Tem 📸

⚡ Quick answer: A photographer friend in Bangkok is a local who shows you the city, orders your food, translates for you and takes natural photos of you all day. Our Private Bangkok Photographer Friend is 6 hours, from $179 per person, with no fixed route. Your friend for the day will be one of our Bangkok team, like Mike, Ian or Tem, rated 4.8 stars from 36 Google reviews. 📸🧡

Admit it. Your last holiday album is 300 photos of temples, 40 photos of food, and exactly one blurry photo of you, taken by a stranger who cut your head off. 🙃 You were there. There is just no proof.

That is why we do this. Not a tour, not a stiff photoshoot, but a friend for the day who knows Bangkok inside out and happens to carry a very good camera. Here is who they are, what guests say about them, and what you actually get. 👇

🗓️ What does a day with a photographer friend look like?

There is no script, but here is how a typical day flows. You choose, we adapt. 🧭

  • ☕ Meet up at Gallery Drip Coffee at BACC, or talk to us first if you want to start somewhere else

  • 🚶 Walk and warm up, nobody looks like themselves in the first ten minutes and that is completely fine

  • 🎨 Hidden spots, murals, lanes, temples and markets, picked to match your mood

  • 🍜 Eat like a local, your friend orders and translates

  • 🌇 Finish with a view, guests often end the day on a rooftop at sunset

😂 Tips from our guests (they are very specific)

  • 👕 Pack outfits. One guest wrote it in capitals: “PLEASE BRING FEW CLOTHES !” They brought four tops and every one got used.

  • 🧊 Trust the local tricks. Another guest loved the cooling towel from 7 Eleven and the rooftop tip.

  • 🤝 Say what you want. Share your ideas with your photographer, and let them try theirs too. That mix is where the best photos come from.

❓ Photographer friend in Bangkok: your questions answered

What is a photographer friend in Bangkok?

It is a local photographer who spends the day with you as your guide, translator and photographer. With Walk-Talk-Photo, the Private Bangkok Photographer Friend is a 6 hour private day from 179 US dollars per person, with no fixed route, ending with your edited photos in a private online gallery.

Our team includes Mike, the founder and director, and photographers Ian and Tem. All of them are Bangkok locals who speak Thai and English. If you have a favourite from the reviews, mention it when you message us.

No. Most guests are camera shy at the start. Your photographer gives light direction when you want it and otherwise just captures you walking, talking and eating. After an hour or so the nerves are gone.

Comfortable shoes, clothes for the weather, and something that covers shoulders and knees for temples. One of our guests also strongly recommends bringing a few outfit changes.

The standard meeting point is Gallery Drip Coffee on the 1st floor of BACC. The day is 6 hours and starts when you meet your photographer. Extra hours are 500 THB per hour for the whole group.

Transport during the day, entrance fees, your own meals and drinks, and your photographer’s small costs along the route such as tickets, transport and a bite of lunch.
