How Much Walking in Bangkok on Our Photo Walk? Less Than It Feels 👟
⚡ Quick answer: How much walking in Bangkok on our Hidden Gems photo walk? Moderate. The afternoon is about 6 hours, but the walks between spots are short and easy, usually 5 to 10 minutes, with regular breaks, drinks, shade and local transport included between areas. And guests keep telling us the same thing: it never felt long. 👟 |
Let us be upfront: yes, a photo walk involves walking. It is in the name. 😄 But after the day, guests keep telling us the same thing: they barely noticed the walking. There is a reason for that, and it is the part of the walk we work hardest on.

🤔 Why does it not feel like a long walk?
Because you are never just walking. Every few minutes there is something new: a golden door, a noodle cart, a cat asleep on a shrine, a mural you would have walked straight past. Your brain is too busy discovering to count the steps. 🐈
We work on that on purpose. We plan the route so the discoveries keep coming at a steady rhythm, one thing after another, all afternoon. Time flies when there is always a next surprise, and looking back, the day feels full and long in the best way.
“It never felt rushed, and there was plenty of time to take photos and explore.” May T., travelling solo (Tripadvisor) |
“All at a pace that was comfortable and enjoyable.” Cosmin Blindu, Google review |

☀️ How do we handle the Bangkok heat?
🕐 Timing: the walk runs in the afternoon and is planned to avoid the strongest sunlight
🌳 Shade first: lanes, temples and covered markets are part of the route
🥤 Drinks and cool stops: water is included, and we stop for a drink and a bit of air con
🛺 Rides between areas: local transport is included, so you do not walk across the city
🌇 A calm finish: the day ends sitting down, with a sunset drink over one of Bangkok’s most iconic views
“He made sure we had plenty of stops to rest from the heat and stay hydrated, and he even introduced us to Thai milk tea, which is now our favorite drink.” Canossa Armstrong, Google review |
“Making sure we would have a drink, catch some AC between walks, his amazing cooling towel from the 7 eleven, the rooftop tip.” S. Shah, Google review |
👟 What should I wear and bring?
👟 Comfortable shoes you have already walked in
👕 Light, breathable clothes for the heat
🛕 Shoulders and knees covered if you want to go inside temples
🧢 A hat or sunglasses if you like them
📱 Your phone or camera, and a small bag, not a big backpack

🙋 Can we slow down or take extra breaks?
Of course. Your photographer walks at your pace, and the breaks are built in. If anyone in your group has a mobility concern, just tell us before the day and we plan around it. The goal is a happy afternoon and great photos, not a step count. 😊
